In the last year, the window and door industry has seen significant trends emerging. Here are a few of those new and exciting trends!

Indoor/Outdoor Space
In 2016, people are seeking a way to integrate the indoor space and the outdoor space of a home. People want to have an easy and natural transition from inside to outside. This is now being accomplished by installing large casement windows and expandable sliding doors. These options offer excellent, unobstructed views from one space to the other, allowing for the feel of bringing the outside in.

Large Windows
This idea of installing new large windows is a great way to bring more natural light inside the home, which removes the need for much artificial lighting, allowing you to save money on electric bills and have a more natural feel in your home. It also allows for more visibility of your outside views.

Window Treatments
Whereas in the past people purchased window treatments to hide and cover up their windows, people now are focusing on window treatments that highlight the beauty of and integrate with their windows. This is a great way to dress up your existing windows without having to buy brand new ones to enhance the look of a home. Homeowners are purchasing curtains and shutters that flow with the rest of their home and are simple and sleek.

Accessories
Window accessories can also make a big difference in the look of a home. There are quite a number of hardware and color options when it comes to windows and doors that can affect the look. Window foils are an excellent way to make your windows pop without voiding the warranty, like painting then might do. Window foils are pieces of laminate that can be applied to the existing window frame. They are available in a plethora of colors and patterns for both the inside and outside of the windows.
