Eastern Architectural Systems, Inc (EAS) is a division of EMS and is a manufacturer of Aluminum and Vinyl impact/Non-Impact windows and doors.

Eastern Architectural Systems, Inc is seeking an experienced Engineer.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineer position consist of:

•    Maintaining company Florida Product Approvals
•    Produce NFRC Simulation worksheets for test lab
•    Review and approve test reports for structural and impact testing
•    Review and approve test reports for NFRC testing
•    Maintain NAMI and Keystone Certification program logs and documentation
•    Talk to installers who are installing our products in the field
•    Talk to Building Officials and our Customers about company Florida Product Approvals
•    Work with company sales team and customers on Site Specific Engineering projects
•    Work with outside Engineering firms on completing product approval packages
•    Work with inside sales on product approvals
•    Produce product fabrication drawings for production
•    Produce product approval installation drawings
•    Produce laboratory test drawings for products being tested
•    Check extrusion die drawings for accuracy
•    Conduct first article inspection on aluminum extrusion
•    Produce Engineering Chance Orders
•    Maintain all product B.O.M.s on the server
•    Provide information to IT department when errors are found in Request For Manufacturing paperwork
•    Provide information to IT department when loading new products into the system for ordering
•    Create B.O.M.s for new products
•    Create test plans for products being tested. Review plans with NAMI and P.E. for approval
•    Go to lab when products are being tested. Install product and witness all testing

Requirments:
•    Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
•    Ability to demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or higher
•    Three years of demonstrated experience in the windows and/or doors industry
•    Strong working knowledge of Florida Product Approval System
•    Strong working knowledge of installation and field issues
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong problem solving skills
•    Strong phone skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)  
•    High level of professionalism
•    High attention to detail
•    Self Motivated and ability to work independently
