What Home Decor Trends to Look for This Spring?

As winter slows and the season transitions to spring showers and warm breezes, the interior design world is heating up too.

Springtime is the season of fresh florals and bright designs. Whether you’re remodeling or refreshing your home decor, there are a few trends to be on the lookout for this spring.

5 Home Decor Trends of 2020

Each year, decor trends change a bit. Below are the home decor trends to look for this season!

Home Decor Trends for the Kitchen

While white kitchens remain favored staples, they are evolving from a pure white kitchen to incorporating soft hues, such as light greys and blues with pops of warm wood.

Neutral wall colors, backsplashes and cabinetry are phasing out and being replaced by warm colors and jewel tones

Home Decor Trends for the Bathroom

Kitchens and bathrooms are the most lived in areas of a home. Adding tile to the sides of your bathtub, aka tub aprons, will completely transform the look and feel of your bathroom making the bathtub look like it’s built into your home.

Bathrooms are also becoming more luxurious spa and wellness rooms, which is why you’ll start to see more seating options where you can complete your skincare routine or perch candles, books and towels while you wind down in the tub.

Furniture Home Decor Trends

Furniture styles are also changing. In the bedroom, canopies are making a come back, and people are ditching the bulky polls and headboards for a more sleek design.

In the living room, you’ll start seeing less rigid and angled couches and more sofas with curved backs and rounded edges.

You’ll also start to notice the formal dining room come back to homes; however, they won’t look like a traditional dining room. You can expect them to make a statement with bold patterns and light fixtures.

Textile Home Decor Trends

The simplest home decor trend to keep up with are textiles. This season, linens will be a big hit, with jewel tones and mix-matching patterns.

Rugs are becoming more unique and the style seems to be blending cozy fabrics with non traditional materials, such as zippers.
